And he scored again too... Hema Kanani gives her verdict on Chelsea's FA Cup quarter-final win against Stoke City. John Terry does his talking on the pitch after he scored the vital second goal and comfortably led Chelsea into the semi-final of the FA Cup after a 2-0 win at home against Stoke City. The Blues will now face Aston Villa, at Wembley, in the semi-final.Chelsea started off strongly, and within two minutes had won two corners.Frank Lampard took the second one and former Chelsea defender Robert Huth cleared it with a header. On 35 minutes, a chance opened up for the home side as Florent Malouda's shot fell to Didier Drogba. His effort on goal was deflected off Whitehead for another corner. The ball is not cleared by the Stoke defence and it fell to Lampard who smashed the ball home to put the Blues into the leadAfter the half-time break, Chelsea have chances to extend their lead through Nicolas Anelka and Drogba. But it was captain Marvel John Terry who cemented victory when he powerfully headed home a Lampard corner on 67 minutes.John was clearly pumped up and was outstanding throughout. Stoke reacted well but didn't really cause any threat to Chelsea for the remainder of the match. They failed to convert their chances and paid for it.All in all it was a mediocre game. Key Chelsea players were tired following their international matches in mid-week.Chelsea could have scored more goals had Anelka concentrated on his finishing. I guess it’s something Anelka will have to work on. Based on Stoke’s performance, Ancelotti could of rested his first team and played the reserves and still won.
