Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insists he does not fear Tuesday's Champions League opponents Werder Bremen but does accept that his side has been handed a tough group.
The Blues' first Group A match is against the Bundesliga side at Stamford Bridge but Mourinho's team also faces two games against last term's champions Barcelona, and Bulgarian side Levski Sofia.
A wary Mourinho said: "I don't think I am far from being correct if I say they (Werder) are the best team from the third group of seeds.
"We could have had an easier draw, but the draw is done. Werder Bremen are with us, we have to play two games and we need points.
"I'm not afraid but I don't think they're afraid of us. I don't think that's a word you can apply in high level football.
"If you speak about a small team with inexperienced players you can use it, but at this level - top teams with the top players playing the World Cup - I don't think this kind of player is afraid.
"I'm not afraid and I think their manager is not afraid. That's not the word. I think they respect us. They know they are in a very difficult group but for sure they have ambitions to qualify.
"They are dangerous because they are always playing to win and their attack has three or four players.
"(Miroslav) Klose is very dangerous but the midfielders can also score. Bremen have a willingness to attack regardless of who they are playing."
