Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hit back at Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson who believes the Blues are getting preferential treatment from officials.
Ferguson was furious that Mourinho had asked to have a special meeting with Professional Game Match Official chief Keith Hackett in the wake of the controversy surrounding Graham Poll's handling of the Blues' defeat at Tottenham last Sunday.
But speaking after Chelsea's 4-0 win against Watford on Sunday, Mourinho said: "In regards to meeting referee supremo Keith Hackett, I can tell you I was officially invited for a meeting along with every other manager.
"My life is football and family, I don't play golf or have hobbies.
"Other mangers were there - Martin Jol, Harry Redknapp, Glenn Roeder, Adrian Boothroyd, Chris Colman and lots were there.
"At the end he said 'please, if you have anything to contribute to the game please call me or e-mail me.' He gave me his card.
"Now after the game at Reading, I almost called him but no I didn't. After the Sheffield United game I almost called him but no I didn't.
"After the Spurs game I called him. 'I don't know when I will see you,' he said, 'but I will see you with lots of pleasure, and we will have a chat'."
