Jose hails Blues spirit

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was a happy man after seeing his side seal a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Superb second-half strikes from Andriy Shevchenko and Shaun Wright-Phillips gave the Blues victory, with the Premiership champions having fought back from 3-1 down at Stamford Bridge to force the sixth round replay.

Mourinho said afterwards: "We were very solid defensively and had good control of possession, with John Obi Mikel the key.

"In the last two games Shaun Wright-Phillips in a new role has also been possibly man of the match.

"This is a special season already. Yes, we were champions over the last two seasons, but at the moment this is better than the others.

"Only this team with their character could survive, this team works and fights together."
