Jose Mourinho may yet be back in London for the Champions League final in May, but on Tuesday night he told his English fans they will have to wait a little longer for the permanent return of The Special One.

Mourinho, who reaches his milestone of 500 games as a manager in Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg at Tottenham, claims he wants to stay in charge of Real Madrid for at least another hundred games.

'My future is Real Madrid,' said the former Chelsea boss. 'I have a contract and it looks like the club is happy with my work.

'My future will be England, yes, for sure, but after Real. I have a contract for three more seasons and I would like to reach the  600-mark with Real Madrid.'

But even though his team are 4-0 up after the first leg the Portuguese coach insists he is not willing to invite an historic Champions League comeback by resting players who are one booking from suspension.
