Jose Mourinho DID hide in a skip to flout UEFA ban, reveals Nuno Morais

Reports that Jose Mourinho was smuggled into Chelsea's dressing room to flout a UEFA touchline ban are true, claims former Blues defender Nuno Morais. Mourinho was subject to a two-match ban when Bayern Munich visited Stamford Bridge for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final in 2005 after making comments following an acrimonious victory over Barcelona in the previous round that led to the retirement of referee Anders Frisk. And, while Chelsea have always denied the allegations, Morais has admitted his former manager did cheat his way around the sanction, despite insisting at the time he was watching the game from the Chelsea leisure club just outside the stadium. Jose Mourinho (centre) celebrates Chelsea's win over Barcelona in 2005 Never a dull moment: Jose Mourinho (centre) celebrates Chelsea's Champions League win over Barcelona in 2005, but was banned for the next round He recalled: 'I played the last three minutes of the second leg but was on the bench for the home game. It was very different to go into the dressing room and see Jose hiding in the skip that night. 'I have many good memories of my time at Chelsea, even though I never won a medal. But I really remember that first European campaign and getting to the semi-finals. It was amazing. It was the first time I could feel my bones shaking, that atmosphere at Anfield. Morais will come face to face tonight with former team-mates such as John Terry and Frank Lampard when he returns with new side Apoel Nicosia, the Cypriot club he joined in 2007. And Morais had only good words to say about the Blues, as well as admitting he feels he needs to make a point due to limited first-team opportunities during three years at Stamford Bridge. He said: 'Chelsea are always Chelsea, one of the greatest teams in Europe and the world as well. 'It'll be a different experience for me playing against them but I want to prove something, of course.'
