John Terry ruled out for 2 months

John Terry will have a knee operation on Wednesday which is expected to rule him out for up to eight weeks, heaping problems on Andre Villas-Boas but easing a dilemma for Stuart Pearce. England's caretaker manager Pearce names his squad on Thursday for next week's friendly against Holland and Terry's absence removes the thorny issue of whether he should be selected.
