John Terry's World Cup dream in doubt after England defender suffers broken metatarsal

John Terry's World Cup dream is in serious doubt after the Chelsea captain was rushed to hospital having suffered a suspected broken metatarsal in training today.[LNB]The defender is now set to miss the FA Cup final against Portsmouth following the accidental collision this morning at the Blues' Cobham training headquarters.[LNB]Terry, 29, is wearing a protective boot on his right foot and must wait until Thursday to discover his scan results which will determine his availability for South Africa.[LNB]A Chelsea statement read: 'John Terry has today taken a knock in training and has gone to hospital for a precautionary scan on his right foot. He left Cobham walking freely in a protective boot, and we await the results which are expected on Thursday.'[LNB] Foot in mouth: John Terry has suffered a suspected broken metatarsal and must wait on scan results to determine his World Cup place[LNB]If Terry's worst fears are realised, it would compound a horrendous year for the defender.[LNB]
