John Terry 'certain' to stay at Chelsea says Ray Wilkins

Several reports have claimed the Chelsea captain is ready to join Manchester City this summer due to his frustration with the club's direction. But Wilkins has no doubt about Terry's intentions. [LNB] "There must be some very wealthy clubs out there if you think John Terry is leaving," Wilkins told Radio Five Live. [LNB] "I would not think John will be going anywhere. He adores Chelsea, his family live in the area and he has everything he desires at Chelsea. I would expect him to start with us next season. That is an absolute certainty." [LNB]Wilkins, who led Chelsea to a 3-1 FA Cup win over Watford, believes new coach Guus Hiddink will also be at Stamford Bridge come the start of next season. [LNB] "I would have thought that there will be a large body of people who will want Guus to stay if he does well from now until the end of the season," said Wilkins. [LNB] "He has come in with a fresh attitude and wants the players to work extremely hard. I would agree that Guus would want to stay once he has sampled the Premier League. Any manager coming into our league, if he is half successful, would want to stay involved. The crowds are fantastic. [LNB] "That's week in, week out. Foreign managers really enjoy the pace and atmosphere." [LNB]Wilkins also expects former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will one day return to the Premier League – but not necessarily at Chelsea. [LNB] "Football is a strange game. I would love to see Jose back in the Premier League, whether it was with Chelsea I have no idea," Wilkins said. "He is a fantastic character and he would be good for the Premier League." [LNB]
