Jamie Redknapp's Match Plan: Didier Drogba's desire to get close is vital

Powerhouse: Dider Drogba's battle with the Inter Milan centre-backs is vital to Chelsea's success[LNB]Roll on, DidierThe key to winning this tie is Didier Drogba's force. I'm hoping Inter pick my old Merseyside derby rival Marco Materazzi at centre back, because Drogba will feast off him.[LNB]The explosive Chelsea striker loves to 'feel' a defender close. Materazzi is a player who challenges for every ball, even if the chances of him winning it are slim. That will be ideal for Drogba, who will try to roll him, or any other defender who stands up too close to him. It one of his favoured moves.[LNB]The likelihood is that he will try to draw rash challenges and win tactical free-kicks.[LNB]If Inter pick Argentina defender Walter Samuel instead, Drogba will go looking for him. He will get more success than if he meets Lucio head on again.[LNB]I watched Inter lose 3-1 at Catania on Friday and, even if they had one eye on this game, they were awful. [LNB]English teams are winning 9-0 in this round of second legs so far, but this will be a very different game from the two we saw last week.[LNB]Inter will play two banks of four, they will close down the midfield space available to Frank Lampard and they will try to suffocate the game.[LNB]Danger lurkingThe eyes-in-the-back-of-your-head role played by John Mikel Obi will be crucial. Inter may sit in, but when they advance he will need to offer more protection to his back four. [LNB]In the San Siro, his inexperience was exposed.[LNB]If Wesley Sneijder is on the field, he is a wriggler and can hit a killer delivery, so he will need to be watched. [LNB] Exposed: John Obi Mikel (left) showed his inexperience in the first leg[LNB]Inter will look to run down the side of John Terry, whose feet are not moving quickly at the moment. They will sense a weakness and look to get runners down the channels between full backs and centre backs.[LNB]It worked in the first leg and that will give them the confidence to try again. [LNB]Anelka's threatI know he's been quiet recently, but Nicolas Anelka is a danger and can deliver on these big nights. He reminds me of a cobra, waiting to strike. Inter will ignore him at their peril.[LNB]Chelsea will have more possession here, and with the confidence of Florent Malouda, they have the creativity and firepower to win through. [LNB]VerdictI like Lucio, he's a hell of a defender, but he can't do it alone and Inter have weaknesses in their back line. [LNB]They do have the edge in goal and Julio Cesar will have to prove his world-class ranking. [LNB]Jose Mourinho loves to kill a game, but he's not playing. If Drogba works the two central defenders, then Chelsea will get openings. [LNB]They will really miss the energy and protection offered by Michael Essien. [LNB]I'm not blown away by Michael Ballack but Chelsea can win this if they get their tempo right. I'm going for 3-1 to the home side. [LNB] Jose Mourinho returns to Chelsea with a taunt: 'I win the important games, not just the FA Cup'Jose taunts Chelsea ahead of crunch return: I'll always be Special OneLucio: How a free spirit they call Horse learned to harness DrogbaMourinho circus won't distract my Chelsea stars, insists AncelottiNot so special one: Jose plays down Chelsea KO on Stamford Bridge returnDes Kelly: Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho IS the Real dealCHELSEA FC
