Jamie Redknapp: Super Chelsea are a mixture of Arsenal and Manchester United

20 September 2010 06:50
Chelsea are a mixture of Arsenal and Manchester United. [LNB]They don't get the same press as either but they play with pace, power and flair, they are dangerous and confident and there isn't be a better team in Europe right now.[LNB] Singing the Blues: Chelsea's stars are probably the best on the Cotinent in present form[LNB] [LNB]They've scored a staggering 34 goals without reply at home and they make chance after chance. [LNB]You've got to love watching Didier Drogba and co.[LNB] Heaven sentSteven Gerrard didn't deserve to be on the losing side, but Dimitar Berbatov deserved to be a match winner. [LNB]It was a swaggering performance. [LNB]His height and power in the air is underestimated and he played this ferocious fixture at his pace. [LNB]Every time the ball came his way he looked a menace. And his second was a goal from the Gods.[LNB] Aiming higherSunderland should be a top eight team with their squad and their talented manager. [LNB]They have quality in attack in Darren Bent, who looks full of goals, as well as Danny Welbeck and Asamoah Gyan. [LNB] Aiming high: In-form Darren Bent can fire Sunderland into the top eight[LNB]They showed their spirit again to recover from a freak goal to draw with Arsenal. [LNB]Now they need to discover more consistency, especially away from home.[LNB] He ain't Arfa goodNow we've been given a taste of Hatem Ben Arfa, I can't wait to see more of him. [LNB]He comes to England with a reputation for being one of the bad boys of the French league but he gives Newcastle something extra and his goal at Everton was spectacular. [LNB]It's looking good for Chris Hughton in one of the hottest seats in English football. I wish him well.[LNB] Beauty of BaleSorry to keep mentioning Gareth Bale, but the boy is so special. [LNB]At full pelt and crossing the ball on the run, he reminds me of a young Ryan Giggs. [LNB] Boy wonder: Tottenham's Gareth Bale is too hot to handle for Premier League defences right now[LNB]He is electrifying to watch and against a decent Wolves team who came to play football, he made the difference. [LNB]He can be the best left-sided player in the world. He's a quiet boy and a nice lad too.[LNB] Keep coolArsene Wenger has produced a wonderful football team, but he seems to be allowing outside influences to irritate him. [LNB]He's embroiled in rows with other bosses and accusing everyone else of kicking his Arsenal and he looked to have reached boiling point at Sunderland, where he was rowing with the fourth official.[LNB] Wat a result! The result of the weekend has to be Watford's 6-1 mauling of Millwall in their own Lions' Den. [LNB]They play good football under manager Malkay Mackay. [LNB] Wat ho: Malkay Mackay's side roared past Millwall at The Den on Saturday[LNB]He was a lump of a centre half, an honest no-nonsense defender; but his team really get the ball down and pass it. [LNB]And that's why many Barclays Premier League clubs are happy for their developing players to go out to Vicarage Road on loan.
