Beckham is desperate to play in next year's World Cup and admits he would ponder a move back to his homeland if it would increase his chances. 'I would definitely consider it,' Beckham said. 'Never say never. When I left United, I said I would never want to play for another English club. Now I wouldn't rule it out.' More likely is a return to AC Milan, where he impressed then coach Carlo Ancelotti, now with Chelsea, with his fitness and professionalism. The 34-year-old was speaking in California where he has returned to link up with the Los Angeles Galaxy after a spell in Serie A playing for Milan. However Beckham has also said he is ready to spend the rest of his career with the Galaxy and AC Milan. Beckham, returns to Major League Soccer against Red Bull New York on Thursday after a heart-to-heart chat with captain Landon Donovan, who criticised the England captain's commitment. He has three years to run on his Galaxy contract and is widely expected to return to Milan, where he spent five months on loan last season, in November. As his Transatlantic lifestyle continues, the Home Depot Center and the San Siro may be Beckham's homes until 2012 - maybe longer in Los Angeles. I've always said that. I've always said, even when I went to Milan, that I'm committed to the Galaxy and to MLS, and that hasn't changed. 'My family is happy here. The kids are happy. There are always going to be people speculating whether we're going to go back to England or Europe, but I can't say enough about how happy my kids and my family are here. 'Obviously, Milan have expressed that they want me to go back. So I don't see any reason why that would change, but we'll have to wait and see. I hope to be going back there. 'We've had a few phone calls from a few Premiership clubs, but obviously none that I can talk about.' Beckham was less forthconing about his chat with Donovan who was critical of him in a new book "The Beckham Experiment," by Grant Wahl. 'It's over,' said Beckham. 'I'm not going to talk about what was said. That's between me, Landon and the manager [Bruce Arena]. But it's finished. It's over. So we move on. We spoke, the two of us, and also Bruce, and like I said, it's finished.' Donovan said: 'We're getting past it, we're moving on. Being on the [training] field was great. It was fun. It was good to have him back.'
