Ivanovic warns Chelsea stars
ranislav Ivanovic has warned his Chelsea team-mates they will need to make a massive improvement under new boss Andre Villas-Boas.[LNB] The Blues defender insists every player has to take a share of the blame for last season, in which the club failed to win any silverware.[LNB]Ivanovic, 27, was pleased with his own personal campaign and the fact that the West London outfit finished the season as the best defensive team in the league.[LNB]However, with the new Portuguese coach set to make changes at Stamford Bridge, Ivanovic believes every player must accept the blame for last season.[LNB]He said: "Personally, I don't like to look on my own season.[LNB]"Every time when you don't win a trophy it is hard and in many ways you want to forget the whole year.[LNB]"I don't like to speak about me personally and I think every player's success can be judged on what the team does.[LNB]"You can have a striker who scores 50 goals in one season but if you win nothing it means nothing.[LNB]"At the same time I am very happy because we were the best defensive team in the league.[LNB]"I cannot say just the defenders because 11 players defend but this is a good thing for next season, for our confidence.[LNB]"But we do have to improve other parts of our play.[LNB]"We have to play more for the team, like a team, to give opportunities to our team-mates.[LNB]"We know where we made mistakes and I think we will be better and improve in the new season."
