Ivanovic wants Blues to show class
ranislav Ivanovic insists Chelsea must show their quality from the start as they prepare for their toughest game of the season at Liverpool.[LNB] Ivanovic, one of only two Chelsea players named in the PFA's Premier League Team of the Year, is expected to switch from the centre of defence and replace Paulo Ferreira at right-back.[LNB]Captain John Terry's return from suspension will force the Serbian to make the move in what is expected to be Carlo Ancelotti's only change from the side which swept Stoke away 7-0 last week.[LNB]It was as a full-back that he scored with two headers away to Liverpool in a Champions League fixture last season and he is taking confidence from Chelsea's record against the 'Big Four' this campaign.[LNB]Chelsea have won five out of five games against Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool - scoring 10 goals and conceding one. The Blues go into the game one point ahead of United at the top of the table and victory could seal their first title since 2006.[LNB]But despite the personal accolade from his fellow professionals, Ivanovic says it will only be complete with two winners' medals and that it is crucial for them to continue their great record against the top four.[LNB]"We have to win two league games and the FA Cup final and then I can say "yes, this season for me is very good"," said Ivanovic.[LNB]"The most important game of the season coming up. We will do everything we can on the pitch.[LNB]"This team has the quality to win double titles but we have to show it on Sunday and if we play this season like we did in all the big games then we can hope that we can win and win the Premier League as well."[LNB]Meanwhile striker Nicolas Anelka admits he has been surprised by his former club's form this season.[LNB]The 31-year-old spent the second half of the 2001-02 campaign on loan with the Merseyside club under Gerard Houllier, who decided not to make the move permanent.[LNB]Eight years later Anelka is the hunt for a second Premier League winners' medal having triumphed with Arsenal in 1998.[LNB]Standing in the way is a side that will be smarting from their Europa League knockout on Thursday evening.[LNB]"You never know how they will be affected, maybe they will want a response after losing in Europe and be more determined to win against Chelsea," said Anelka.[LNB]"I cannot tell you how they will react but it is all about Chelsea - we have to go there and try to win it.[LNB]"This season for Liverpool surprises me a little bit because they are a big team with a lot of good players, but sometimes you can have a bad season as a team and you have to accept it, they still have a good squad that can win games.[LNB]"This season has not been as good as last season for them, they have not scored so many goals, but that is good for us. We have scored a lot of goals and had a better season than last season. Hopefully they will continue to struggle against us."[LNB]Anelka insists that a second Premier League medal would mean more than the one he collected with Arsenal, because of his age.[LNB]"It would mean more," he confirmed. "With Arsenal I was 19, very young, and you don't think about it. I was new in England as well, I didn't think about it so much but now I know it is so difficult to win it, very difficult, and even more this season because it is so tight."
