Ivanovic sure Terry will cope

Branislav Ivanovic has backed Chelsea team-mate John Terry to cope with what could be a hostile reception at QPR on Saturday. Terry looks set to line up against Anton Ferdinand in the highly-charged west London derby.

The Premier League encounter is the first meeting between the clubs since Terry was found not guilty of using a racial slur against the Hoops' Ferdinand in the corresponding fixture last October. Terry remains the subject of a Football Association investigation over the charges that he denies.

Ivanovic said in The Sun: "Everyone knows how important John is for us. "It won't be the first time John has played in a game where he is booed - it's happened many times before." The Chelsea defender added: "I can remember the first game we played there and the atmosphere. I will remember it for the rest of my life. "QPR is a derby and everyone knows it's a big game."
