Once upon a time, we had a fearless , charismatic, arrogant and sometimes elegant Jose Mourinho. A good motivator for his players and even the fans were lifted by his air of invincibility. He scoffed in the face of adversity and took no notice of pressure. He certainly seemed to be the Special One and indeed the Happy One as he later asked to be called.
Unfortunately now Jose has assumed a more human demeanour. Constantly implying conspiracies against his team. Surely he’s done that before but now he looks like he actually believes it with the look of pain clad on his face. He looks increasingly restless almost waiting to explode. Probably the peak of his fall from grace was the self-imposed media exile especially after yielding to the FA in fear of punishment.
The media need a merrier Jose. The fans are desperate for a change.
It certainly looks like the title run-in is taking its toll on Jose.
The contrast is there for all to see.
