Inter Milan v Chelsea: Jose Mourinho believes he will be 'lucky at Stamford Bridge'

He will take a 2-1 lead from Wednesday night's first leg into next month's match and admitted that he will have to 'control my emotions' when he returns to Chelsea for the first time as an opposition manager since he was sacked in 2007. [LNB]Mourinho said: 'I have to be professional like I was today and like the Chelsea players were today. In the tunnel (before kick-off) it was not a normal game for me or a normal game for them but in the game it was normal. This time I go to a different dressing room a different dug-out.' [LNB]Mourinho said that the tie was delicately balanced. 'The most important aspect is the result,' he said 'it's not the best because the qualification is still open. But all the Champions League matches are very tight. No-one was expecting a big win from either team. [LNB]'Playing the first leg at home is always complicated. This time we go to Stamford Bridge with a win, a tight win, but it's important. I believe what happened tonight was a big achievement from my defenders. I believe we can go through. This year my team have a greater mental strength. Now it will be down to the team with the greatest ambition.' [LNB]Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti was frustrated by the failure of referee Manuel Mejuto Gonzalez to award his side a first-half penalty after Salomon Kalou was challenged by Walter Samuel. [LNB]'I think it was a penalty, but it's only a penalty when the referee whistles,' he said of the tackle. 'We can say that we were unlucky this evening and we hope that it will be better in the future. I know he is a very good referee and I don't want to say anything else.' [LNB]Ancelotti added: 'I expected a match like that and I believe we played quite well. The result was not so positive. We played a good game with personality and courage and will have to do the same in the next game against Inter. Looking at what happened tonight I believe we have a good chance of going through.' [LNB]Midfielder Frank Lampard added: 'Maybe we deserved better. On balance we believed we were the better team.' [LNB]Chelsea also played down fears that goalkeeper Petr Cech had suffered a tear of his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee — with Ancelotti insisting the Czech international had only suffered a calf injury which will be assessed today. 'We will then see when he can return to the squad,' he said. [LNB]The damage was caused as Cech collected a high cross after 60 minutes of the Champions League tie and appeared to land with his right leg awkwardly outstretched. He immediately signalled to the bench that he was in distress and collapsed in a heap. [LNB]Cech was replaced by Henrique Hilario and was taken off on a stretcher from the pitch. [LNB]
