Injury blow for Chelsea as Essien is ruled out of action for up to six weeks

Chelsea have confirmed that  Michael Essien will be out of action for up to six weeks after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations with a knee injury.[LNB]The Ghana midfielder was ruled out of the tournament on Monday after suffering ligament damage in training.[LNB]It was originally thought Essien would be out for a month but a scan has revealed he faces a longer spell on the sidelines.[LNB] Injury blow: Michael Essien will be out of action for up to six weeks[LNB]Chelsea will be without Essien for eight Barclays Premier League games, including the visit of Arsenal.
