I miss Marseille! Blues bad boy Drogba admits he'd love to be back in France

Didier Drogba admits he would love to be a Marseille player right now. The Chelsea striker, who has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge after his behaviour in last week's Champions League semi-final, says he envies the players at his former club. Marseille top the French league on goal difference with four games left to play. Drogba spent the 2003-04 season at the Stade Velodrome and helped Marseille reach the UEFA Cup Final before joining Chelsea in a£24million deal. The Ivory Coast striker was on the losing side in Gothenburg as Rafa Benitez's Valencia beat Marseille 2-0, but he still feels a strong connection with the French club. 'I must confess that I really wish I was there with them right now,' the striker told France-Football. 'I envy them a lot, indeed! The atmosphere must be crazy all around the city. They must have a lot of fun all together. Most of all, they must make the most of it.  'As far as I am concerned, I was inches away from winning a trophy with this club and I cannot imagine what the atmosphere will be if they win silverware. It is going to be massive.' In January Drogba risked straining his fractious relationship with the Chelsea hierarchy by attending a ceremony in Marseille to mark the 10th anniversary of the club's in-house television station. The striker was granted permission by Luiz Felipe Scolari, but his comments came just days after the former manager had expressed his dissatisfaction about players being linked with other clubs. Drogba said at the time: 'It's tough for me to find the right words to explain the relationship between Marseille fans and me.  'I still love this club and it will never change, whatever happens. 'Everyone knows how much I am attached to this club and this city. There are many people that I like and my desire to see them was strong.'
