How Frank Lampard fared at Stamford Bridge when not playing for Chelsea

Frank Lampard, Chelsea’s record goalscorer after 211 goals in 13 years, returns to Stamford Bridge on Saturday as an opponent with title rivals Manchester City.

After already scoring this season against the club where he won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League, we decided to look at how Lampard – who joined Chelsea from West Ham in 2001 – has fared at Stamford Bridge in previous Premier League matches against the Blues.

Visits to the Bridge haven’t been great for Lampard as an opposition player then, with him winning just one out of five.

But given his phenomenal goal scoring record and knack for being on the spot when his team, whoever they may be, needs him – we wouldn’t write off him having a big part to play in tomorrow’s game.

Could Lampard be preparing to break Chelsea hearts?
