2005 Leads Milan to another Champions League final, but this time his side lose on penalties to Liverpool after squandering a 3-0 half-time lead in Istanbul.

2007 European glory for Ancelotti as Milan avenge their previous final defeat against Liverpool by beating the Reds 2-1 in Athens.

2009 Leaves Milan after helping the club secure a Champions League place and his appointed Chelsea manager 24 hours later.
