Holders handed Reds test

Holders Chelsea will cross swords with Liverpool in the last eight following Saturday's draw for the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup. The two sides last met in the competition in the 2005 final at the Millennium Stadium where Chelsea sealed a 3-2 extra-time success. The Blues also won last year's final by a 2-1 scoreline against Arsenal in Cardiff. Elsewhere in a draw containing eight teams from the Premier League, Arsenal face a difficult trip to Blackburn Rovers. Manchester City will host Tottenham and Everton have been handed a trip to the capital to take on West Ham United at Upton Park. The ties will take place in the week commencing December 17, apart from the West Ham versus Everton match which will be played in the week commencing December 10. The two sides are also scheduled to meet in the Premier League at Upton Park on December 15.
