Hiddink rues Cole booking
Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has admitted that Ashley Cole's suspension for the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona has given him a selection problem. The 28-year-old was booked in the second half of the pulsating 4-4 draw with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, as the Blues triumphed 7-5 on aggregate. Hiddink must now think about who will replace the England international, a job made harder after the sale of Wayne Bridge to Manchester City in January and the subsequent injury of Paulo Ferreira with knee ligament damage. More worryingly for the Dutchman is the fact that the makeshift full-back will have the unenviable task of coming up against Barca star Lionel Messi. "The left-back situation may cause problems but we have time to think how we might resolve it," he said. "Barcelona are a very advanced team with very skilful players. They know how to handle the pace. I like their philosophy of football. They sign players who are attractive to watch. "They like attacking football and it is difficult to play them because they are a top side."
