Hiddink to draw up Chelsea targets

Chelsea will seek the advice of Guus Hiddink over summer transfer targets even though he might not be around at the club next season.Hiddink is only contracted to Chelsea until the end of the season after taking over on a temporary basis from Luiz Felipe Scolari in February. The Dutchman has done an impressive job at Stamford Bridge during his short time in charge, but he is expected to return to his role as Russia coach in the summer. However, Hiddink will have a part to play in Chelsea's transfer plans for next season, according to Blues chairman Bruce Buck."We are going to solicit his views as we think about summer transfers," Buck told the Daily Express.Buck also defended the club's recent transfer strategy despite a number of big-money signings failing to live up to expectations in West London."I don't think we make any more mistakes than any other club," added Buck."We did look at this over a five-year period. This is not a perfect science."Buck also revealed the club are searching for a new manager to bring some stability to the club as Hiddink is currently their fourth boss in 19 months."We would like to have managers here for a lengthy period of time," continued Buck. "It is very difficult to do that."Each of the managers who has left has done so for a specific reason."The board have the exact same objectives as the fans. We are trying to win as many trophies as we can and trying to find a manager who can do that for us in the long term."I don't know that the fact that managers have left the club is a mistake, or just a fact of life."[LNB]
