Hiddink targets perfect finish

Guus Hiddink believes Chelsea cannot afford to drop any more points if they are to land the Premier League title.[LNB] The Blues have 12 games in which to erase Manchester United's 10-point lead at the summit and bring the trophy back to Stamford Bridge for the first time in three years.[LNB]They face a mammoth task if they are to usurp the Red Devils at the summit, with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson already ruling them out of the running.[LNB]However, Hiddink is refusing to give hope and believes maximum points between now and the end of the season could see Chelsea pip their rivals to the crown.[LNB]"Alex Ferguson is in the lead and in the driver's seat and can talk as he does. I respect him very much for what he has achieved over a long period at the club," the Dutchman told the Evening Standard.[LNB]Challenge"They are in the lead and we are some points away, but there is still some way to go. There has to be a lot done on our side to challenge them, but we will try. We can't afford to drop one single point.[LNB]"The owner didn't demand anything when I agreed to take the job - there were no specific demands. Everyone wants to see Chelsea going up the league and not in the position they're in now."[LNB]Meanwhile, Hiddink does believe that doubts regarding his own future at Stamford Bridge, having only signed a short-term deal until the end of the season, will have an adverse affect on his players.[LNB]"The players cannot think, 'oh this manager is away at the end of the season so we can relax or whatever'. We don't accept that, I don't accept that," he added.[LNB]"I don't think the attitude of the players is like that anyway. If you have this attitude you do not deserve to be a member of any club."[LNB]
