Guus Hiddink spoke in glowing terms of his time with Chelsea following the Blues' solid win over Blackburn in his final match in charge at Stamford Bridge. The Blues' boss waved and bowed to the fans after seeing out his last game in West London with a 2-0 success over Blackburn. A firm favourite with the crowd - Hiddink has suffered defeat only once in his 20-match spell with the London club. Celebrating his brief but prolific spell, the Russian coach admitted the support he has had since joining the club has been overwhelming. "It was surprising for me," he told Sky Sports. "In a short period I have experienced so much support from the players and the fans. "Being at a big club with big players and a big status and knowing you have a good response makes it nice to work here. "What I experienced and learned here is that many people have a lot of respect for me." The Blues are now on the hunt for a new manager as they prepare their assault on the title next term. Asked if he had any advice for his successor, Hiddink said: "First of all - to be realistic. "We have players who are aging but can still perform. You have to watch the squad, and create strength in depth. That is very important."
