ShareGuus Hiddink has an escape clause in his contract with the Turkish football federation that allows him to move to Stamford Bridge if Chelsea come calling. [LNB]Turkish officials admitted they were resigned to losing their Dutch coach and the 64-year-old is expected to be confirmed as Carlo Ancelotti's successor later this week.[LNB]Hiddink has remained close to Roman Abramovich, acting in an advisory role since his 2009 stint as manager of the club. [LNB]And now it seems the Russian billionaire always had it in mind to bring back Hiddink should it not work out with Ancelotti. [LNB] Coming to an end: Guus Hiddink's stint as Turkey coach looks set to conclude[LNB]Sources in Holland insisted Hiddink still intends to perform a managerial role, having expressed a desire over the weekend to return to the day-to-day involvement of working with players 'on the pitch'. [LNB]This was said in response to suggestions he was set to become director of football at Chelsea.[LNB]But the structure could yet see him bring another, less experienced manager with him. [LNB]Marco van Basten, currently out of work, is understood to be the preferred choice of Hiddink, who has enjoyed spells working with Frank Rijkaard and Ronald Koeman. [LNB] Close allies: Hiddink undertook an advisory role for Roman Abramovich since leaving Stamford Bridge in 2009[LNB]But this is where Mark Hughes, who last week resigned from Fulham, could yet come into the equation.[LNB]The Turkish federation have accepted Hiddink will quit. One senior source is reported to have told the BBC: 'Chelsea is too good an offer to turn down and the Federation understands this. Hiddink feels he still has a job to do there. He wants to work every day and win championships and maybe the Champions League. [LNB]'We understand that he has coached his last Turkey game as long as Chelsea pay the compensation.' [LNB]The only issue holding up Hiddink's move is the terms of his severance. [LNB] Born winner: As well as a European Cup and six Eredivisie titles with PSV Eindhoven, Hiddink oversaw Chelsea's FA Cup 2009 victory[LNB]Abramovich is reluctant to pay ?4million in compensation to cover the final year of Hiddink's contract, not least because he suspects Turkey were planning to sack theirmanager anyway. Only Chelsea's well-known interest prevented them firing the Dutchman. [LNB]Abramovich is prepared to offer some form of settlement to the Turks, which will take his aggregate compensation fees for six managers beyond ?50m in the eight years since he arrived at Stamford Bridge. [LNB] Talk about the passion: At the ripe old age of 64, Hiddink is set for another bash at the Champions League[LNB] [LNB]Chelsea paid ?6m to sack Claudio Ranieri in 2004 and gave Porto ?2m to release Jose Mourinho. It cost ?18m to dismiss Mourinho and his backroom team three years later.[LNB]They paid ?5m to fire Avram Grant eight months later and ?12m to sack Luiz FelipeScolari and his staff. [LNB]Sacking Ancelotti, who announced he would be taking a year off coaching, and his staff could cost another ?6m.[LNB] Chelsea close in on Hiddink as Turkey resign themselves to losing boss for ?4m sweetenerEXCLUSIVE: My dream is Chelsea! ?20m Lukaku repeats wish over dealDaniel Sturridge determined to use England U21s as a springboard to a senior call-upAll the latest Chelsea news, features and opinion[LNB]  Explore more:People: Mark Hughes, Frank Rijkaard, Roman Abramovich, Luiz Felipe Scolari, Ronald Koeman, Carlo Ancelotti Places: The Netherlands, Turkey
