Barnet manager Ian Hendon is hopeful that striker Paul Furlong can be persuaded to extend his stay with the club beyond the end of the season. The 40-year-old former Chelsea man is on-loan at Underhill from Southend and has rolled back the years of late, bagging four goals in his last three games to propel the Bees towards League Two safety. And his form has prompted Hendon to offer him a home in North London if he decides to continue his career into a 20th season."We'll see what happens at the end of the season," Hendon said. "Paul knows what I think about him, though."He may decide that he feels he is too old to carry on playing football. But he has been great for us and I would love to have him here."Hendon is also waiting to hear from QPR over his application to extend goalkeeper Jake Cole's loan deal.
