Hedman handed Blues trial

Chelsea have taken Magnus Hedman on trial with a view to offering the experienced former Coventry City and Celtic goalkeeper a permanent deal at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have been in the market for a third-choice keeper after Petr Cech suffered a fractured skull against Reading last month.
In the absence of the Czech Republic international - who is expected to be sidelined for the majority of the current season - both Carlo Cudicini and Henrique Hilario have been given the chance to impress Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
Hedman, 33, made over 150 appearances in British football before being handed a free transfer by Celtic in summer 2005.
The former Sweden international had been linked with a return at Newcastle United, before the Magpies opted to hand a short-term deal to former keeper Pavel Srnicek last month.
