Wayne Rooney's omission from the PFA team of the year that includes Nicolas Anelka is a disgrace. The Manchester United forward may not be having the best season of his career but some of the things he has done have left the Chelsea striker in the shade. Maybe his propensity to rage has counted against him - he still letshimself down too often - or the fact he has been moved around in arange of roles this campaign. But surely he should still edge out Anelka. The Frenchman may have asscored three more Premier League goals than Rooney but many of themhave come against smaller clubs as Chelsea flexed the muscles of flattrack bullies and he is simply not as good as the Englishman.
