HATCHET MAN: xpect the Chelsea-Hiddink saga to go into extra time despite Kenyon's 'final word'

Mark his words. Peter Kenyon, the Chelsea chief executive, after watching Guus Hiddink reorganise the club's squad and get them back playing at something like their best, has claimed: 'All the focus is for him to come in in the interim period and complete his task, but there are no plans for him to stay any longer. 'There have been no discussions, at all. I think he and we wanted to just really concentrate on this three-month period, which is critical. We're still in all the competitions. He's completely focused on that.' I'm going...to stay or back to Russia: Guus Hiddink has some hard choices to make Of course not. As if Roman Abramovich, the Chelsea owner and major funding partner of Hiddink's other employer, the Russian football federation, would broach the subject of the Dutchman staying at Stamford Bridge a bit longer. Apparently it never even crossed his mind. Hiddink, by the way, says: 'A lot of people are trying to persuade me to stay at Chelsea,' and so they should be, but if Kenyon is to be believed they must have been doing it with body language or meaningful stares.
