Why not? He is a great player, his contract is up and he is on a free transfer.[LNB]'When he returns from the World Cup I would love to talk to him about coming to Spurs.'[LNB]Redknapp initially wrote off any hopes he had of signing a player he managed at Upton Park for three years until 2001 when revealing: 'Someone's going to make a great free transfer, if he doesn't stay at Chelsea - I genuinely don't know who that is. I don't think it's going to be Tottenham.[LNB]'I've got a feeling, I may be wrong, that he's already agreed a deal with someone.
