Harry confident of Modric stay

Harry Redknapp is confident Luka Modric will still be at Tottenham come the big kick-off, despite Chelsea's ongoing interest in the Croatian.[LNB] Spurs open the season at home to Everton on August 13 and boss Redknapp expects Modric to be at his disposal.[LNB]Spurs turned down an improved £27million bid for Modric from Chelsea this week, with chairman Daniel Levy determined to hang on to the Croatian playmaker, who is under contract until 2015.[LNB]And although Modric has indicated he would like to move to Stamford Bridge, Redknapp believes the 25-year-old will not cause a stir if he stays at White Hart Lane.[LNB]"I fully expect Luka to be here at the start of the season," he told the Sun.[LNB]"The chairman Daniel Levy has already said he does not want to sell him at any price.[LNB]"Luka is the nicest boy you could meet and he would not cause a problem to anybody.[LNB]"But Luka feels he has a chance of playing for a team who can win the Champions League. He's also been offered a lot of money.[LNB]"The chairman, though, wants to keep him and I want to build a side around Luka."
