Happy Hammer Clarke joins Zola in penning new Upton Park deal

Steve Clarke has joined Gianfranco Zola in signing contracts to stay at West Ham until 2013.[LNB]Upton Park boss Zola put pen to paper on his new deal on Saturday and has been quickly followed by his highly rated sidekick.[LNB]There had been speculation that the pair were stalling on contracttalks to keep themselves in line for a lucrative summer offer from their former club Chelsea.[LNB] Signing up: West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola and assistant Steve Clarke will be at the club until 2013[LNB]The new contract is reported to be worth £1.6million for Zola while Clarke is set to become the highest paid No 2 in the country with a deal worth £1m-per-year.[LNB]Zola last week spoke of his hopes of signing a long-term deal at Upton Parkon the condition that Clarke and coaching staff stay at the club.[LNB] [LNB]And Clarke said recently: 'I had great times at Chelsea but it has gone, it is in the past and I have to look forward.
