Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois admits he misses Spain and intends to return to La Liga one day.
Courtois joined Atletico Madrid on loan from Chelsea in 2011 and spent three hugely successful seasons with the Rojiblancos, helping them win the league, Copa del Rey and Europa League, as well as reaching the Champions League final.
Since returning to Stamford Bridge the Belgium international has established himself as Chelsea's number one, but the 24-year-old has revealed he still pines for life in Spain.
He also said in an interview with Spanish daily Marca that he will make a decision on his Chelsea future in two years' time, when he enters the final year of his current contract with the Blues.
Asked if still misses Spain, Courtois said: "Yes, but not only because of the club, but for how Madrid is and the entire country.
"From the first minute I loved Spain for its people, the way of life, the food...
"Today I still have the food and eat dinner late, the siesta, the television I watch most is Spanish. I feel half Spanish.
"The three seasons at Atletico made me the goalkeeper I am now. When I said goodbye I felt bad, it's not easy to make me cry."
The former Genk keeper's loan stint with Atletico ended in 2014 but he says he was convinced at that point it would not be the end of his love affair with Spain or LaLiga.
He added: "When I left Spain I knew that one day I would return there.
"I have a contract with Chelsea for three more seasons. In 2018, when I enter the last year of my contract, we will have to weigh up whether it is best to renew or leave."
