Hiddink, whose Russia team will today play Azerbaijan in a World Cup qualifier, said: 'There had to be a contract or my work in Chelsea would be impossible from a legal point of view. 'Yes, there is such a contract. It expires on May 31. They offered me to continue working for them after that date as a consultant.' Hiddink added: 'I'll need to have a look at how the situation is going to develop. 'May be I can be useful for Chelsea in that role.' Speculation continues, however, over whether Hiddink will take on the Stamford Bridge role on a permanent basis. The Russian Football Union said yesterday they were 'comfortable' with extending his existing job share. Alexey Sorokin, the general secretary of the Russian FA, believes Hiddink is capable of managing both Chelsea and the Russian national side, even if they reach the 2010 World Cup finals. 'We are ready to discuss it [with Cheslea]', Sorokin said. 'We are comfortable with the situation.'
