Avram Grant admits he is desperate to land the Portsmouth job.The Israeli is on the shortlist at Fratton Park to replace manager Tony Adams, who was sacked a week ago.Grant left his role as director of football at Pompey in 2007 to take up a similar position at Chelsea.[LNB] Contender: Avram Grant wants the Pompey job[LNB]The former Israel national boss later took over from Jose Mourinho and went on to steer them to the Champions League final.[LNB] He was axed by Roman Abramovich last summer but is keen to make a return to the Premier League.
