Southend United midfielder Anthony Grant has been given the all-clear to return to training for the Shrimpers. The former Chelsea trainee suffered concussion in the first five minutes of Southend's 2-0 defeat by Leicester on Saturday but was cleared to resume training on Tuesday after tests. Manager Steve Tilson has also been boosted after ultrasound scans confirmed Jean-Francois Christophe, who replaced Grant, did not suffer a torn hamstring in the game. He is unlikely to feature at Oldham on Saturday but should be available for the final game of the season at home to Cheltenham. The club have also confirmed Damian Scannell has recovered from the bruised hip which kept him out of the Leicester match.
