Southend midfielder Anthony Grant is fit to keep his place for the clash with Oldham at Boundary Park on Saturday afternoon. The former Chelsea man came on as a 52nd minute substitute for Jean-Francois Christophe in last weekend's 2-0 defeat to Leicester, only to be forced off just four minutes later after suffering mild concussion.Grant was able to return to training on Tuesday while Christophe has been ruled out of the clash with a hamstring injury, although tests have confirmed he has not torn it.Winger Damien Scannell is in contention for a start after recovering from the bruised hip that kept him out against the Foxes. But goalkeeper Ian Joyce is unavailable due to an injured finger so Clark Masters will instead travel with the squad.Striker James Walker suffered a recurrence of his hamstring problem in Thursday's 5-1 reserve defeat against Watford and will not be risked.[LNB]
