Grant - Drogba should stay

Avram Grant believes Chelsea would be making a mistake if they let Didier Drogba leave this summer. The striker's future has been the subject of speculation for some time and the uncertainty has heightened since his behaviour at the end of last week's UEFA Champions League clash with Barcelona. Drogba angrily confronted Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo and could now face severe punishment from Uefa. However, Grant thinks Drogba is among the most dangerous players on the planet and has urged Chelsea to give him another chance. Speaking at the Soccerex forum in London, the former Blues boss said: "He is one of the best strikers in the world so of course he should stay. "He made a mistake and he has apologised but he is a very important player for the club." Grant also revealed that he was thinking over an offer from a top-flight club but would not confirm suggestions that Portsmouth have approached him about becoming director of football.
