Grant: Chelsea need stability

Former Chelsea boss Avram Grant believes the club needs stability to bring success back to Stamford Bridge. Grant was sacked last summer and Luiz Felipe Scolari has arrived and departed since, with owner Roman Abramovich working with five coaches in six years. "Every club needs stability and sometimes they don't have it," Grant told Bloomberg. Grant, who got to the Champions League final a year ago and felt he was making progress, understands how much Abramovich wants success. "He wants to be at the top, he wants to be the best, he put a lot of money and effort in to do it," Grant said. "I felt that I wanted to continue. "When your team every month is better than before, you feel that you want to continue because you want to keep developing, and enjoying the results." Guus Hiddink is in charge at Chelsea until the end of the season and could sign off with an FA Cup triumph, then another coach will appointed, with AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti the hot favourite. "I think he did a good job in Milan," Grant said. "I was one time (for) two, three days in Milan and I watched his training and I liked what I saw."
