AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso would be surprised to see former captain Paolo Maldini join Chelsea or any other club this summer. Maldini retired from the game last month after 24 years in a Milan shirt. The 40-year-old is reportedly considering an offer to join Chelsea as part of their coaching staff, where he would be reunited with former Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti. "There's nothing official so far," said Gattuso. "But having to hear these rumours is painful. "Knowing Paolo (Maldini), I would struggle to see him far away from Milan. I really cannot picture him with another club because he is Milan." A former Italy international, Maldini won seven Serie A titles, five Champions League trophies and one FIFA Club World Cup, among other accolades, in his successful career.
