With the International break beckoning, we look at five big names that are sure to attract the attention of Europe’s top clubs in the summer transfer window.

1.) Radamel Falcao (Atletico Madrid)

Many see the Colombian as the best out-and-out striker in the world; and his prolific scoring prowess, has alerted clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea. Chelsea are aware of the sheer strength and goal-scoring abilities, as he scored a hatrick against them in the 2012 European Super-Cup final, in Atletico Madrid’s 4-1 victory over then Roberto Di Matteo’s side. 21 goals in 25 La-Liga games this season, has seen his reputation further enhanced. The 27 year old could be available for around £40-50 million.

2.) Gareth Bale (Tottenham Hotspur)

The Welshman is currently in blistering form for Tottenham Hotspur. Many see him along with Luis Suarez as a candidate for Premier League player of the season. His form hasn’t gone unnoticed and Real Madrid are apparently interested. Excellent strength, pace and goal scoring prowess from Bale are partly the reason why Andre Villas Boas’ Spurs team sit 4th in the Premier League table. His 6 Premier League goals will prove vital in his teams charge for Champions League football. Tottenham will be reluctant to let their starman go, but if Real Madrid come calling with big money, Spurs may have to sell.

3.) Victor Wanyama (Celtic)

The Kenyan powerhouse was brought in from Beerschot AC for £900, 000. What an inspired signing he has turned out to be for Neil Lennon's men. In Celtics impressive Champions League run, the 21 year old was fantastic in defensive midfield, scoring the vital first goal in their historic win over Barcelona in November. Manchester United are said to be keen with Alex Ferguson an admirer; And with a bid in the region of around £12-15 million, they could get their man.

4.) Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)

The former Everton star has been with Manchester United since 2004, but clubs have been alerted after the 27 year old was left out of the starting team to face Real Madrid in United’s Champions League last-16 tie, which they lost. Alex Ferguson was keen to play down reports that he is upset, and has said that he will stay at Manchester United. But perhaps Rooney will be attracted by the prospect of linking up with Carlo Ancelotti's PSG team, the French money-bags could be weighing up a £30,000,000 move for Rooney. AS Monaco are looking to make a statement of intent when they return to the French League top flight next season, they are also said to be interested.

5.) Robert Lewandowski (Borussia Dortmund)

If Wayne Rooney moves, Robert Lewandowski could be an ideal replacement for Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United side. The Borussia Dortmund man has been in imperious form again this season, with 19 goals in 23 Bundesliga games this season. The prolific Pole is apparently unsettled at Borussia Dortmund. It is expected that he will trigger a transfer battle between Bayern Munich and Manchester United in the summer. They could get their man for around £20, 000, 000.
