Chelsea's historic double-winning success is down to their 'fantastic' fans, according to England midfielder Frank Lampard.[LNB]The Blues managed to hold the threat of Manchester United to be crowned Barclays Premier League champions for the first time in three years and beat Portsmouth to retain the FA Cup at Wembley earlier this month.[LNB]But Lampard believes the backing of the Stamford Bridge faithful inspired his team-mates to glory despite what has been a troubling year off the field for the likes of captain John Terry and full-back Ashley Cole.[LNB] True Blue: Lampard has paid tribute to Chelsea supporters for their 'fantastic' support[LNB]Cole, who may leave Chelsea this summer with Real Madrid seriously interested in his signature, has endured a difficult past few months owed to the breakdown in his marriage with Girls Aloud pop star Cheryl Tweedy.[LNB]Terry, meanwhile, was stripped of his England captaincy following the revelation of his affair with former team-mate Wayne Bridge's ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel.[LNB]But while the pair were tormented by fans across the country, Lampard paid tribute to the Chelsea supporters who stood by them and waited patiently for success.[LNB]'I've never heard them get right on someone's back, boo them and destroythem. Never,' Lampard told The Mirror.[LNB]'They are always there, they travel fantastically well and the main thing is that they don't get on anyone's back.[LNB] Happy days: Lampard celebrates the club's Double glory with his team-mates on their open top bus parade to toast their success this season[LNB][LNB]'Some clubs, given what we've been given and being elevated to where we are now, would be moaning and thinking: 'We should be winning' after 20 minutes at 0-0.[LNB]Don't get me wrong, they can moan and groan a little bit but that's normal. We all get upset watching games.[LNB]  'But Chelsea fans are a little bit different. Probably because they've been through a lot before I was here, where they've sat down and watcheda Division Two team in a stand that was 30 yards away from the pitch.[LNB]'So now they can't believe what's happening here. They go with it and, like me, they think it's fantastic.'[LNB]Lampard, himself no stranger to scathing criticism from the stands - even on international duty - will now hope England's travelling support lift Fabio Capello's squad to winning the World Cup in South Africa to complete a memorable 2010.[LNB]  Cole could ditch Blues for Real Madrid in bid to escape divorce backlashChelsea show interest in Marseille midfielder Charles Kabore'Fit' Jon Mikel Obi to join up with Nigerian squad before the weekendCHELSEA FC
