France would welcome back Anelka - Boghossian
The door is open for Nicolas Anelka to play for France again, according to assistant manager Alain Boghossian.Chelsea striker Anelka declared he would never represent his country again after being banned for 18 matches over his conduct at this summer's World Cup. The 31-year-old was sent home from South Africa following a row with then head coach Raymond Domenech.Anelka said he was "dying with laughter" after learning of his suspension, claiming he had already decided to retire from international football.Despite this, Boghossian has been monitoring the forward's performances and said the ball was in Anelka's court if he wanted to add to his 69 caps."I've seen a lot of matches: Chelsea-Sunderland, Chelsea and Marseille," Boghossian said. "No-one is banned. However, he may have banned himself."He said he did not want to wear the jersey of the team. What can we do - pull his hair to make him come? It will be difficult because he has not much hair! We can't keep talking about absent players though; we have to move on."
