Ferguson and Benitez clashed famously last season on more than one occasion, but the feuding pair must wait until Oct 3 for the Anfield clash. The return at Old Trafford – a game Liverpool won 4-1 last season – is not until March 20.
Liverpool, who will launch a massive offensive in their bid for a first ever Premier League title, face a potentially massive game towards the end of the season, at home to Chelsea.
And Carlo Ancelotti, the new Chelsea manager, faces Sir Alex Ferguson for the first time in November, when Manchester United visit Stamford Bridge. Indeed, three of Chelsea first four games against their closest rivals are at home.
Four of Arsenal's six games against Big Four rivals come in the second half of the season but two of those are in the space of four days with a trip to Stamford Bridge, on February 6, followed quickly by the visit of Liverpool to the Emirates Stadium.
