Real Madrid's stunning summer spending spree reached more than £180million in just one month of Florentino Perez returning to the club as president. SPENDING SO FAR £183M And the 62-year-old - who oversaw the first era of the Galacticos when bringing the likes of Beckham, Ronaldo, Zidane and Figo to the Bernabeu earlier this decade - insists there are more stars to come. The latest is Karim Benzema , lured by the Spanish side from under the noses of Manchester United, but word is that Liverpool duo Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa are ready to sign - as is Valencia midfielder David Silva - while Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery is also desperate to join the revolution. Manchester City have the cash if not the ability to spend it. And with deals for Kaka, Cristano Ronaldo, and Raul Albiol already completed, Perez has already eclipsed all of Europe's other big spenders in the process. In fact, word is that Madrid's spending could exceed a remarkable £250m before the start of the season. Sportsmail takes a look at how the Spanish giants have splashed the cash so far... £ Kaka £56m The small matter of £56m secured the services of Ricardo Izecson Dos Santos Leite - or Kaka to you and me. The signing of Chelsea target Kaka, the first of the summer for Real, signified just how large the club's spending ambitions were and Kaka must have noticed that he was to be just one of many to be be added to the club's ever-burgeoning player list. Unveiled at the Bernabeu in front of 50,000 adoring fans on Tuesday, just two days after helping Brazil to lift the Confederations Cup in South Africa. Raul Albiol £13m Signed June 25, from Valencia The highly rated central defender cost a pretty penny from Valencia and showed Perez wasn't just interested in signing foreign flair players. Featuring regularly for Spain, he is seen as a successor to Barcelona's Carles Puyol in the national team. Albiol recently featured for Spain in the 5-0 trouncing of New Zealand at the Confederations Cup. Cristiano Ronaldo £80m Signed July 1, from Manchester United Will he, wont he? That was the question we were all asking for what seems like for ever. With guarded phrasing and ambiguous statements Ronaldo led us all on a merry dance for the last year, but now we have the answer. He will. The former Manchester United star has consistently performed for his club with a remarkable 42 goals coming in the 2007-08 season. And with his form remaining good for Portugal, Madrid splashed a world record fee to prove that, yes, they can have Ronaldo AND Kaka. Any more?... Karim Benzema £35m Agreed July 1, from Lyon While many believed that 21-year-old Benzema would remain at the club until at least after the 2010 World Cup, the chance to more than double his earnings at the Bernabeu proved too much. Benzema, who will pick up £140,000 after tax, helped Lyon to four league titles and scored 23 goals last season. Added to his 24 appearances for France and six goals, Benzema was the main target for Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who wanted the striker to replace the outgoing Carlos Tevez.
