Fernando Torres will score says Carlo Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti has boldly declared Fernando Torres will score for Chelsea before the end of the season. Torres has now gone 871 minutes without finding the net for club and country and bookmakers have begun taking bets on whether he will break his duck before the campaign is over. But manager Ancelotti has no doubt that the Spain striker will begin repaying his ?50m transfer fee in Chelsea's last six games of the season. Struggling: Fernando Torres (left) scores against West Brom only for his strike to be ruled out for offside 'He will score,' said Ancelotti, who refused to confirm whether the 27-year-old would start Wednesday's Barclays Premier League match against Birmingham after being restricted to an eight-minute cameo at West Brom on Saturday. 'He can score if he plays. 'It's very difficult to change the team that played so well against West Brom, not just for the result, not just for the performance. They did very well against West Bromwich.' Ancelotti revealed he and his coaching staff were not employing any special methods to get Torres scoring. Only a matter of time: Carlo Ancelotti (right) believes Fernando Torres will soon open his Chelsea account He said: 'We are working with him like we are with the other strikers. He has exercises to score - shooting, crossing - but nothing different from the others. 'I think he wants to score and he's not happy for this reason. I would like to see my players every time happy and with confidence. 'It's not a good moment for Fernando, but I want to do my best to support him.'  Kalou tells Ancelotti to play 4-3-3 as Torres' Chelsea torment continuesAncelotti tipping Torres to do a Rooney and bounce back with goals galoreIs Torres really up to the job... or does Ancelotti drop his ?50m striker? All the latest Chelsea news, features and opinion  Explore more:People: Fernando Torres, Carlo Ancelotti Places: Birmingham, Spain
