Welcome to the latest instalment in our series of My Club blogs, where you - thefans - have the chance to write for Sportsmail on your club.[LNB]  Nextup is Chelsea fan Jamie Read, 17, who believes the future's bright for Fernando Torres despite his woeful miss against Manchester United in the 3-1 defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday. [LNB]Don't forget, you can send in your articles by clicking here and following the guidelines...[LNB] On January 31, Chelsea announced the signing of Fernando Torres for a staggering ?50 million.[LNB]It appeared like a ridiculous amount of money for a player who is coming up to the wrong part of his twenties and has suffered with a number of injuries in the past 18 months. [LNB] Bad day at the office: Torres missed a sitter against Manchester United [LNB]And it soon became apparent that he was struggling to settle into the way Chelsea play. But then again, living up to such a price tag has got to put a lot of psychological pressure on a player - even someone of his standard.    [LNB]Torres has been at Chelsea for eight months now and has scored two Premier League goals in 24 appearances. The creativity of his former team-mates suited him much better.[LNB]This year we have new players in the form of Mata and former Liverpool fan favourite, Raul Meireles. They can't alone solve Torres' dilemma but they can help him with it. [LNB] Pulling the strings: new boy Mata can help Torres at Chelsea [LNB]A three-pronged attack of Mata, Torres and Sturridge could really work.  Villas Boas is trusting these two youthful players to supply the demand that Torres craves - this bold, attacking line could be his saviour.   [LNB]The chances that Chelsea scuppered at United on Sunday meant they threw away an unlikely victory and definitely a draw. The defeat could have been much worse.  [LNB]The Chelsea of last season, which threw away the title after the departure of Ray Wilkins, appear to be transformed into a better unit. [LNB] Though the scoreline was worse than that of the match at the end of last season, the performance was much better. [LNB] On target: Torres scored for Chelsea shortly after the interval [LNB]There were some real positives to take from the display, although our defending and finishing left a lot to be desired. [LNB]Torres got on the scoresheet, something he hasn't done in the Premier League since the rain-soaked match against West Ham in April. [LNB]Chelsea have a patient and tactful manager in Villas Boas, and he can help get the best out of his No 9.  [LNB] On the move: Anelka is set to leave at the end of the season [LNB]Torres's confidence will be shot, and the media input won't help him, nor will being dropped by Spain. Butthat doesn't mean he should give up.  [LNB]He still has the ability to scare defenders, but he needs to realise it.  If shutting himself in a room and watching videos of the predator he once was is what it will take, then he should do it.  [LNB]His first performance of the season against Stoke was promising. He picked up the man-of-the-match award and proved that he hasn't lost his vision and pace.[LNB]Drogba and Anelka are both world class on their day, but they haven't been much better than Torres in recent months. [LNB]The few goals more that they have scored doesn't mean they should be playing ahead of the Spain international.  [LNB]Drogba might be a Chelsea legend now, but he isn't the same old Didier that lit up the Premier League only a few seasons ago.  And with Anelka set to leave next summer, relying on him this term, would be a dangerous strategy.    [LNB] Off target: Rooney missed a penalty for the home side in the second half [LNB]Rooney's penalty miss wasn't a plus point for the United No 10. He went through a well-documented 'bad patch' last season, but look at him now - a full head of hair and a bag full of goals to his name.  [LNB]Rooney looked like he wasn't going to have a good season, but one inspirational moment against Manchester City changed that for him.  [LNB]Torres needs one big moment, something that can reignite his career.    [LNB]The old, phenomenal Torres is merely dormant. If he can close his mind and focus on what made him so good back when he was on Merseyside then the future can be bright for him.  [LNB]As distraught as I was at Sunday's miss, I felt sorry for him. His classy finish at the start of the secondhalf was what we expect and what we should remember.    [LNB]Torres has been under pressure, but he isn't done and dusted.  I remember Ryan Giggs missing an open goal against Arsenal in the FA Cup back in 2002, but he bounced back.[LNB]That's exactly what Torres will do.[LNB]  My Club blog: Here's YOUR chance to write about YOUR football team for SportsmailMartin Samuel: Now ?50m Torres must score when it REALLY mattersHow did you miss that, Fernando?
