Fergie gobsmacked by Chelsea start

Sir Alex Ferguson has hit out at Chelsea's 100 per cent start to the new season claiming 'I think they chose the fixture list themselves'.[LNB] Chelsea are four points clear at the top of the table after winning their opening five games as they prepare to face their first major test of the season at Manchester City this weekend.[LNB]Manchester United boss Ferguson admits Chelsea could not have asked for a better start to the season, but conceded whoever finishes above Carlo Ancelotti's side will probably win the title.[LNB]"It's quite an amazing start to the season,' added Ferguson.[LNB]"I think Chelsea chose the fixture list themselves. They finished last season scoring a lot of goals against weaker teams and have continued that way.[LNB]"You still have to beat those teams but Chelsea have done that in quite a strong fashion and anyone who wins the league will have to finish above them."[LNB]On United's progress and that of other teams in the English top flight, he said: "We (United) have started quietly just like Arsenal. But us and the Gunners will battle with Chelsea until the end.[LNB]"It's too early to make any predictions but we cannot forget the progress done by Tottenham.[LNB]"Houllier at Aston Villa needs time. The disappointment is Everton. I considered them favourites but they have just two points.[LNB]"Manchester City didn't have the best of starts but with the squad (Roberto) Mancini has, they will be contenders.[LNB]"I saw them beat Liverpool 3-0, with power and quality.[LNB]"Mancini has changed half of the squad, it's difficult to find rhythm yet.[LNB]"When they get continuity they will be a threat to everyone."
